Power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce have just purchased a 30,000 square foot house, one of California’s greatest architectural works. According to real estate sources, the couple spent $200 million for the home, shattering the previous record of $177 million, making it the most expensive house ever sold in all of California. It is also the second-most expensive real estate transaction in the nation, with a NYC flat fetching the highest price of $238 million.

The house had a staggering $295 million price tag on it. The residence is located in the Paradise Cove region on an 8-acre bluff with views of the Pacific Ocean.

It is also an architectural masterpiece, created by Japanese master architect Tadao Ando, who is also designing the Malibu home that rapper Kanye West recently purchased.

William Bell, one of the largest art collectors in the world, owned and constructed the home. The all-concrete building was constructed by Bell over the course of about 15 years.

The residence is the couple’s second renowned large-scale real estate acquisition in Los Angeles. They paid $88 million for a Bel-Air estate back in 2017, then invested millions more to bring the price up to $100 million.
